US$50,000 to US$500,000 and above for news outlets and teams building capacity in AI journalism. Nonprofit and for-profit organisations anywhere in the world may apply, including African newsrooms. This funds organisations rather than individuals, and the Center says plainly that it will not formally evaluate every application — only those it is very likely to fund. Separate from its individual reporting grants, whose 2026 round has closed.
Saving keeps this on your shortlist. It isn’t a funding application.
